I'm Craig, a former full-stack developer turned strategic engineering leader. Over the last two decades, I've gone from writing PHP and JavaScript to leading platform-scale engineering teams building real-time systems in aviation tech.

Right now, I'm Head of Engineering at AeroCloud Systems, where I lead teams working on:

• → Cloud-native airport ops (AOS)
• → Passenger processing platforms (PPS)
• → AI-powered occupancy tracking (Optic)

What drives me is building strong, outcome-focused teams, modernising legacy tech, and creating systems that scale without the drama. I'm big on observability, architectural clarity, and the practical use of AI and event-driven platforms.

I've worked in environments of every shape and size — from three-person startups to sprawling organisations with thousands of employees. I've seen what rapid growth feels like when things click, and I've also lived through the tough end of a shutdown.

Along the way, I've learned what to do, and more importantly, what not to. I've made mistakes, fixed them, and built a kind of judgement you only get from being close to the work.

I've also reinvented myself more than once: from webmaster to developer, IT manager to systems director, senior dev to tech lead to head of engineering. Each step stretched me in new ways — whether that was leading under pressure, modernising legacy systems, or helping teams deliver with clarity and pace.

And while my role today is strategic, I've never lost the technical edge. I still write code for fun, tinker with Raspberry Pi clusters at home, and stay hands-on with cloud and software architecture. I don't just talk about modern engineering — I live it with the team, every day.
